What is the Women's Fund of Essex County?

The Women's Fund of Essex County is a nonprofit grant making fund dedicated to increasing resources, expanding opportunities and promoting positive social change for women and girls.

 

Mission Statement

The Mission of The Women's Fund is to raise and distribute funds to organizations that provide opportunities and promote solutions for women and girls in Essex County.

Annual Grants Awards Luncheon

Each year the Women's Fund holds a luncheon to raise funds for its grants program and to announce grant award winners.  This year's luncheon will be held on October 25, 2007  at the Peabody Marriott Hotel in Peabody, Massachusetts.  Anna Quindlen, noted author and columnist, will be the featured speaker.  The 2007 grant awards will be presented to nine agencies in Essex County for projects which support Leadership and Empowerment for women and/or girls.  For more information, please call 978-526-4449

Women's Fund Grant Program

The Women's Fund awards annual grants for programs which support women and/or girls in Essex County in three Field of Funding interests:  Leadership and Empowerment, Health and Well-Being and Economic Self-Sufficiency and Security.  Since its inception, the Women's Fund has awarded $143,500 to Essex County agencies to support exemplary programming.  The 2008 grants will be awarded for projects that support Health and Well-Being for women and/or girls.  For specific information on the grant program, visit the Grant Guideline section of this website.
