What is the Women's Fund of Essex County?
The Women's Fund of Essex County is a nonprofit grant making fund dedicated to increasing resources, expanding opportunities and promoting positive social change for women and girls.
The Women’s Fund is a collaborative fund of the Essex County Community Foundation. Founded in 2003, The Fund's purpose is to raise and distribute funds to nonprofit agencies within Essex County for the support of programs that benefit women and girls. Grants are awarded annually to fund one field of focus on a rotational basis: Health & Well-Being, Leadership & Empowerment and Economic Self-Sufficiency & Security. To date over $250,000 in grant awards have been made. The fund maintains a growing endowment to ensure its future.
