Essex County's nonprofit organizations bring essential services to all who live here. From food pantries, social services and schools to art programs, cultural institutions and land trusts, our communities are better places to live because of the services these organizations provide.
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) provides these vital organizations with the training, tools and support to build their operational expertise:
Education and Training
The CNE provides comprehensive educational and networking resources to help nonprofit board and staff members improve the capacity of their organizations through workshops, the Institute for Trustees and consulting.
The Institute for Trustees (IFT) is an annual all-day conference for board members and executive directors of nonprofit organizations. The Institute brings in experts in the field to deliver presentations on board roles and responsibilities, board development, financial sustainability, compliance, strategic planning, board/staff relations and more. ECCF offers a variety of workshops each year—each designed to teach best practices on topics such as strategic planning, financial management, grant writing, fundraising and more. Visit Workshops to view upcoming programs.
