The Community Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in Essex County and beyond through grantmaking from its charitable funds. To date ECCF has proudly awarded over $30 million in grants to hundreds of organizations for projects that range from food for Lawrence pantries and soup kitchens to Smartboard equipment for Lynn schools to programs for children coping with domestic abuse in Newburyport. Each grant is unique, purposeful and valued in the community.
While the majority of our grants are awarded from our donor advised funds, a number of our funds offer a competitive grant program and invite nonprofit organizations to submit proposals for funding.
ECCF also manages a variety of scholarship funds established by donors to honor friends, family members or communities. Awardees are recommended by special selection committees. Please visit the Scholarship page for information on individual scholarship programs and application procedures.
