Second Lawrence fire highlights importance of Emergency Fund
press release
Wednesday, June 21, 2017

In less than two weeks, two tragic house fires have displaced dozens of Lawrence residents:

Fire in Multi-Family Home Forces Residents to Evacuate (June 21, 2017, NECN)

Fire Ravages Lawrence Neighborhood (June 12, 2017, Eagle-Tribune)

In times like these, Essex County Community Foundation's Lawrence Emergency Fund is one of the ways you can help. The Fund, set up in 2009 by a group of Lawrence philanthropists, supports emergency needs of individuals and families residing in the City of Lawrence who have been affected by an emergency event through fund distribution to appropriate nonprofit agencies or churches. You can help people affected by tragedy now, and in the future, by donating to the Lawrence Emergency Fund.
