Looking Ahead
ECCF’s progress in Fiscal Year 2010 will include:
- Settling into our new offices in the most centrally located building in Essex County, with great meeting space for nonprofits.
- Launching of the Essex County Hunger Relief Project website featuring fresh nutritious information about one of our communities' most pervasive needs, and healthy help for donors, volunteers, agency leaders, and anyone who needs food.
- Hosting Essex County's first Institute for Trustees, a full day workshop in governance and compliance, strategic and succession planning, recruitment and fundraising- open to all nonprofit trustees past, present and future- will be held on Saturday March 27th, 2010.
- Receiving National Accreditation by the tough standards of the Council on Foundations.
- Electing more Trustees from across the county to add to our superb pool of talent, initiative and impact. Hosting board meetings throughout the County to meet with donors, grantees, and community leaders.
- Convening more nonprofits in peer groups to share best practices, improve sustainability and expand services throughout the county.
- Establishing ECCF's largest gift ever, a real game-changer.
We offer our heartfelt encouragement to you to serve the public good by volunteering your own time, talent and treasure for something you believe in. If you'd like some ideas or opportunities, join us! We welcome your participation!
