Effective stewardship of philanthropic assets is key to the Essex County Community Foundation's ability to fulfill its mission of building permanent charitable funds to strengthen Essex County communities. Our investment goal is to preserve and enhance the real value of these assets over time.
The assets of the foundation are managed by investment managers who are retained for their proven long-term investment results and expertise in a specific asset classes or market sectors.
The Investment Committee of the Essex County Community Foundation monitors the performance of the Community Foundation’s investments and recommends changes, as necessary, to the Board of Trustees. Performance evaluation of money managers is conducted regularly.
